Noema Bradnanska Ondrasek, Vice-President and Co-Founder

M.A., PaedDr., PhD. (Matej Bel University, Slovakia)

Noema Bradnanska Ondrasek, a native of the Slovak Republic, received her M.A. (summa cum laude, 1998), PaedDr. (2005), and PhD. (2009) from the Faculty of Education at Matej Bel University in Slovakia. She was a visiting scholar at Baptist Theological Seminary (Richmond, VA) and received a certificate from the Wheaton College Summer Tutorial Program (Wheaton, IL).

Noema Bradnanska Ondrasek worked at Matej Bel University's Faculty of Education, Department of Theology and Christian Education, first as a lecturer and then an assistant professor for nine years, teaching courses in the area of education and practical theology. She has published extensively on the topics of religious
education and pastoral care of children, as well as other topics. She has also actively participated in numerous professional and scholarly conferences at home and abroad and has been involved in various ecumenical activities.

Raised in a devout Christian family, Noema Bradnanska Ondrasek understands the challenges of living in a country devoid of religious freedom where people are intimidated, harassed, and persecuted for their faith and religious communities cannot manage their own affairs independently of state authorities. Throughout her life, she has served in many church capacities, including terms as chairwoman of the Department of Education at the Baptist Union of the Slovak Republic and as a board member of the Social Work Committee of the Ecumenical Council of Churches in the Slovak Republic.

Noema Bradnanska Ondrasek relocated to the United States in 2008. She continues to serve as an external faculty member at the Matej Bel University and devotes her time and energy to the founding and development of Acta Sanctorum.
